This site specialises in Australian landscape and nature photography
by Philip Schubert.
Over the years Philip has admired the great open spaces and the ancient
timeless nature of Australia and has
sought to capture its essence on film and recently in digital format.
Modern dSLR's cameras have allowed a new level of freedom to experiment in
composition and lighting thus creating new ways to capture and display our
wonderful State's unique beauty.
Some of the images captured by Philip are displayed in Google Earth and
Panoramio and have received encouraging feedback, including nominations for
"Best of Panoramio," from viewers of these sites from around the world.
This site is as a result of that feedback.
Enjoy the results as much as he has enjoyed creating them, but please remember all images are copyrighted.
You are welcome to use any of the displayed images for private purposes with an appropriate acknowledgement.
High resolution versions of selected images for enlargements or printing are available for

Other Images - New Zealand
New Zealand is also a stunning place with its young raw geological
energy and is in stark contrast to the ancient Australia landscape. Although
this site is primarily focussed on Western Australia, as a contrast there are also images
of New Zealand in a couple of dedicated albums. What's with the Name?
The site is named after Lake Needonga which is approximately 70
kilometres North East from Perth on the Brockman River in Western Australia. Views of the lake from the adjoining
Castle Hill Springs farm inspired many of my earlier images and was
responsible for my increasing interest in landscape photography.
The Music
The background music you can hear by clicking on the "Play" button on the
Title Bar at the top of the page is by Deep Sky Divers . This
group has produced moving royalty free music that blends with the colour and
grandeur of the Australian landscape. It can be muted at any time by clicking
the "pause" button.
